Political Data Scientist
On a mission to complicate "good vs. evil" – exploring power politics beyond moral binaries.
Politics loves a good story: heroes, villains, a clean moral at the end. Data is less cooperative. It shows up with spreadsheets, confidence intervals and the awkward habit of saying "it depends."
The Pigeon Effect is where the two meet. I take questions usually settled by gut feeling and talk-show volume – who votes with whom, who spends on what, who is actually winning the chip race – and run the numbers. Sometimes the grand theory survives. Often it needs a footnote. Occasionally it needs a funeral.
The point isn't to swap one simple story for another. It's to make the picture properly complicated: power as interests, incentives and trade-offs – not a morality play.
Got a dataset I should see, a theory you'd like irritated, or a counterargument? Write me.
